STAR LIGHT

There has been the brightest star hanging over the end of my street in the early evening for the last week. I finally asked Karen today what planet she thought it was. She guessed Venus, which I agreed was a good choice, but I was bothered that it was so big. I did a little more investigating tonight and I think it's actually a man-made star - The International Space Station. I had the good fortune to stumble on the Jondrell Bank Observatory, who host an up to the minute locator of the satellite's progress through your part of the night sky. For myself, I'm now looking at the star with new awe. It blows my mind to think that up close, it would look like the graphic.
