Schapelle Corby gets another chance

Story of the day is "Schapelle Corby's lawyer, Hotman Paris Hutapea has convinced the Bali High Court to reopen Corby's case so that new witnesses can give evidence."

It's not perfect. The guy who is believed to have been the actual owner of the marijana found in her bag is not willing to confess and her lawyer warns he is unlikely to overturn the sentence. He's hoping to get it reduced.

Nonetheless it's almost unprecedented for the Bali courts to hold a press conference and rare for them to reconsider a trial at all. It's at least a chance for her to either get a reduced sentence or have her imprisonment moved to Australia. I think the international attention has done a lot for this case.

I hope it works. I always thought she was innocent.
