Thanks to Ethan Russo for bringing this item to our attention. Here's an extraordinarily slick site purportedly put up by a concerned 17 year old girl. Call me cynical but I look at this photo and I see a kid with a controlling mother who saw an opportunity to make some money on drug war hysteria and as an added benefit, get some press attention to help Little Linzy get a spot on the Dallas Cheerleaders.

Drug Test Your Teen suggests parents, rather than help their teens make wise choices about drug use through honest and intelligent discussion should simplify matters by becoming in-house police and administering regular drug tests instead.

According to Linzy, this does not imply a lack of trust.

My mom has drug tested my sister and I for years. She caught my little sister messing around with drugs when she was only 13 years old- before she thought she was old enough to drug test her. My mom trusts both of us, but still tests- she especially loves those alcohol tests after we have been to a party. Believe me, knowing that you will be tested when you get home is a sure deterrent!

Unless a kid is guilty, drug testing shouldn't really make anybody that mad.
