NJ WEEDMAN

Ed Forchion is on the campaign trail in his bid for the US House seat and has received a ringing endorsement from Beer O'Clock.

WEed the people of The Beer O' Clock proclaim The New Jersey Weedman, the superhereo to the potheads, for fighting for his constitutional right to bring an end to the drugwar. Don't be fooled by the humour that the weedman brings with his message, because underneath this pothead humour are fundamental rights: The freedom of speech and the freedom of religion.

In a 30 minute talk, The Beer O' CLock talked to the Weedman in regards to marijuana, creativity, religion and the law.

Ed has been a relentless advocate for legalization for many years and has been jailed more than once for asserting his constitutional right not only to consume a sacramental substance integral to his religion, but also his First Amendment right to talk about it.

He has only recently been released from prison and already is back in court contesting his recent arrest at the Liberty Bell for lighting up a joint to mark the announcement of his candidacy and is to be arraigned on an indictment for refusing to submit a DNA sample.

Why does he fight so hard?

"I just can't go back to being incog-negro," said the Rastafarian former truck driver. "This prohibition is wrong!"

We're glad he's back and hope he remains free.
