Protests today in DC

Loretta Nall is still a free woman and is on the ground in DC organizing a peaceful protest against the judge who issued the death sentence against Jonathan Magbie for possession of one joint.

On Tuesday October 5, 2004 at 2 PM I will begin a protest at the Carl Moultrie Jr. Courthouse, which is entered at roughly 6th, and Indiana Ave. NW, (at D Street) a block from the Judiciary Square Metro station on the red line. I will hold vigil there from 2-5 pm on Tuesday and from 9 am to 5 pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and possibly into next week.

If you're in the area join in and no worry about bail money, Marc Emery has pledged $500 bail to any person arrested in this civil disobedience.

Don't forget that today is also the day that Americans for Safe Access will be staging a demonstration for the rescheduling of marijuana. If you can't be there you can still participate in the phone slam.
