I actually thought of that and I do have an old wireless router that I've had for years that was designed to use in hotels back in the days when you connected with a cable to an outlet in the wall. Sadly, it doesn't support DSL. Buy a wireless router from walmart for $30 and connect that to your Modem. Connect to that wireless router with your laptop.
