Traveling through history

This could be staged and probably not really the interior of Pan Am airplane, but I remember flying economy on planes back as late as the 90s with almost this much room. And the flights were often empty enough so you could snag three empty seats together and stretch out and sleep. This photo is from the 1960s.

I love flamingos. There's a place in Mexico where they migrate in mass for the winter that has long been on my travel bucket list. Haven't made it there yet but that's one place I'm most likely to scratch off the list. [photographer unknown]

Just Van Damme

Not being a fan of the action genre, I don't think I've seen a single Jean-Claude Van Damme movie. Apparently he's aged a lot but hasn't lost his moves. This commercial is so great, I watched it twice and I watched the pre-production video where Van Damme is discussing the stunt. Shoe in for a CLIO award.

Afternoon in Paris

I've actually been here already. Love this tower. The one cheesy souvenir I bought in Paris was a little metal Eiffel tower from one of the stalls along the Seine. [photo via Google Earth Pics]

My travel bucket list just keeps getting longer. Going to have to win the big lottery to ever this itinerary come true, but seriously. How could this gorgeous place not be on my list? Valley of flowers

I've never really felt like I wanted to go to India before, but this place surely tempts me to add it to the bucket list. [photo via]

Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian National Park, located at a height in West Himalaya. It is renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora found there. It is located in Uttarakhand state. This richly diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, brown bear and blue sheep. The gentle landscape of the Valley of Flowers National Park complements the rugged mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park to the east.

Love the colors of the autumn leaves. I used to collect them when I lived up north but don't do it here because, afraid of all the bugs. Never know what you might be bringing into the house. But back in the day, would have surely brought a few of these home. [photo via Old Moss Woman]

Feels like fall

I get the fall foliage later now that I live in the south. Trees just starting to peak here in the little city. There's certain streets that look a lot like a good year in New England.
