Spring fever two
Okay, I picked up some extra hours at work so "tomorrow" in my time was more like three days but here's more from my walkabout at the beginning of the week.
Pink trees are busting out all over.

Finally got a couple of days off in a row. Happily on beautiful days. Been much too lovely outdoors to sit in front of the computer. But I do have photos. Ours should pop in the next day or so but neighbors beat us to the first daffodils in bloom.
Don't know whether to be grateful that they didn't call me in to work today or worried because even with the extra shifts I still don't have enough hours. But I really did need a day off even though I'm going to need to use it to do errands and get the laundry done. No rest for the weary...
Intended to catch up here today but just got the call from work. They offered me a pick-up shift so it's off to work I go... So how about a belated Valentine song for now?
One plus about working for the Big Box Store is I get to see what the good deals are on any given day and one thing I'll say about my store is they have the best clearance sales anywhere. Yesterday they had a one day extra bonus sale, 40% off the already marked down winter stuff. Scored another long sleeve work shirt for $2.79 and fleecy warm pajama pants for $4.39, both of which I really needed. And I desperately needed a new set of sheets for my little twin bed. Last week I scored a 100% cotton set for only $4.99.
Sorry, I've been picking up extra hours and gave up my only day off yesterday to take a call in shift so posting has obviously been light. It was worth it though. I got to work in the pharmacy. Really like that shift. The work appeals to my meticulous inner being and it's warm in there. Wouldn't mind snagging a permanent position in that department. I'd be good at it I think.
Nearly as I can remember, I believe I've watched at least part of every single Superbowl since the first one. I'll admit I'm not a football fan but I always the commercials and hey, there was always a party. Don't think I ever did the same thing twice either. My best one was the year I was in Belize and watched it from a tropical bar with the surf crashing within feet of the TV.
Well I'm looking at grass growing in the lawn and daffodils poking through at the sunny corner of the porch. Weatherguy is talking about maybe some snow later next week but it looks iffy and even it does happen, doubt it will be enough to make one of these.
Those of you who know me well will remember my overwhelming dentist phobia. Terrified of the dentist. Then I found Dr. Tom. He was so nice and really good at dentistry. I never enjoyed going to the dentist still, but I loved him so much, I would have married that goofy geek. Sadly, he died suddenly, shortly after I left lovely downtown Noho. Tragic. He was so young.
I watched a lot of cartoons as a kid. As an adult too actually. And still to this day, my very favorite is Rocky and Bullwinkle. But coming in at almost a tie for all time favorite is that mad scientist -- Clyde Crashcup.
I don't miss the numb hands and feet, wind that freezes your nose hair or the white knuckle driving, but admit I do miss making snow creatures.
